Industrial Design



Industrial Design is an intellectual property right which means 'appearance of an article’. It describes that how the Product would look like and its designs. It covers only the design and appearance of the Product not the Technical features of it. 


The Industrial Design identifies the invention of Original Three dimensional properties known as - patterns, lines and appealing to one’s eyes. 



When the inventor wishes to keep its Industrial Designs safe and secure not only in the domestic boundaries of its nation but rather also to extend it to the whole of the world in the entire international market.



The following Requirements must fulfill in order to get Industrial Designs registered by ICRIPRO (International Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights Organization) internationally -


i. The Designs should be Original in nature and not copied from somewhere.


ii. The Designs must have its functional applicability on the Product. 


iii. The Design must be clearly visible on the Product.


iv. There must not be any prior registered Originator of the design. 




Yes. Industrial Designs can be registered internationally by ICRIPRO (International Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights Organization) like other similar Intellectual Property Rights. ICRIPRO is the Ultimate Registry for registering Industrial Designs internationally.



If Industrial Designs are not registered internationally by ICRIPRO (International Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights Organization) then all the hard work provided by the inventor in creating the designs will be in vain as anyone having motive of using it for its own economic benefits can infringe it and there shall be no remedy available in the hands of the seller and has to suffer million dollars losses.
